Shop with a Cop is a community-focused program that pairs local police officers with children and families in need for a memorable holiday shopping experience. The goal is to build positive relationships between law enforcement and the community while providing assistance to kids who may otherwise go without during the holiday season.

During the event, officers spend one-on-one time with participating children, helping them pick out gifts for themselves and their families. Beyond the shopping trip, the program fosters trust, kindness, and mutual understanding; showing young people that police officers are caring, supportive members of the community.

For many families, Shop with a Cop provides hope, joy, and a holiday experience they’ll never forget. For officers, it's an opportunity to give back, connect, and make a lasting positive impact.

Every year, the West Milwaukee Police Department partners up with Target, who graciously hosts the event at their West Milwaukee location. Target Asset Protection staff also assist the police department and the school district with securing grant funding which go towards the event. Below are pictures from events from previous years:
